Established in 1968, Mangat, I.B. Patel and Partners (MIBP) provides consultancy services to create, manage and sustain built environments able to withstand the test of time.
With over 45 years’ experience, MIBP executes the planning, design and management of some of the largest water resource, transport, municipal and structural engineering projects in Eastern Africa. From the design of tall buildings, dams, water treatment plants and distribution systems through to housing and transportation projects, MIBP’s context-specific solutions define the backbone of East Africa’s emerging economies.
The firm is directed by four Partners and supported by over 40 professionals with a wide spectrum of expertise. Our experienced multidisciplinary teams ensure that MIBP’s excellent technical solutions are delivered with a focus on engineering a sustainable future.
MIBP is registered with the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development Authorities to provide consultancy services in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The company is also listed as a Firm of EIA Experts with the National Environmental and Management Authority (NEMA) in Kenya.
Funding for our projects is provided by international multi-lateral finance agencies such as the World Bank and African Development Bank (ADB) as well as bilateral agencies including the French Development Agency (AFD), the German Development Bank (KfW), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and others in conjunction with the project proponent governmental agencies.
